“Steering standards in the right direction!”
Why does training matter? Seafaring is a complex, interesting and lucrative business. A vessel is a small world of its own that requires a competent and qualified crew to ensure a safe and efficient operation. That is why standards for our training and qualification are set by international regulations. These international regulations enable our graduates to be employed worldwide as skilled workers—on merchant ships as well as on fishing vessels.
The experience the seafarers gain by being employed in an international, high risk and highly technical work environment later qualifies them for a multitude of jobs ashore. Continuous and further training enable people to get ahead professionally. That is why training matters.
